Designers showcase collection

DESIGNERS from all over the country came together and showcased the different outfits they designed ranging from bikini to evening wear during the Jade Avant Garde Fashion Show.

Organised by Jade Fiji, it gave local designers the opportunity to showcase their skills and stamp their mark in the fashion industry.

And according to Jade Fiji managing director Fang Fang Jamnadas, the show was organised to promote Fiji's fashion industry and the designers.

Four models from Australia were recruited to model local designed outfits.

Mrs Jamnadas says the fashion industry contributes significantly to the country's economy, adding designers have the potential but need to be exposed.
