Eight years on, Namoli villagers cast their vote

Update: 11:30AM VILLAGERS of Namoli in the upper reaches of Navosa are pleased to cast their vote after eight long years.

Voters slowly trickled into the village hall, with some crossing shallow portions of the Sigatoka River at the tikina of  Noikoro to make it to the polling venue.

"We are very happy to vote after all these years" said Moape Ratu, who walked over a kilometre from Vatumali to vote.

Namoli Village headman Senijeli Rida said some students who were eligible to vote would do so after school hours.

Namoli is the last village in the tikina of Noikoro and is located near the Namosi border.
