Increased coverage for welfare schemes

Update: 5:50PM THERE has been an increase in coverage and reach of social welfare programs to disadvantaged families and individuals in Fiji.

Minister for Social Welfare Dr Jiko Luveni said this is being achieved through the reforms and streamlining of the social welfare programs.

She said the social welfare programs include the Poverty Benefit Scheme, Care and Protection Program, Social Pension Scheme, Expanded Food Voucher Program, Bus Fare concession and the Welfare to Workfare Program.
