Water rationing likely

Salaseini Moceiwai
Thursday, August 28, 2014

THE Commissioner Northern's Office is working closely with the Water Authority of Fiji to ration the distribution of water to certain areas in Labasa.

Acting commissioner northern Alipate Bolalevu said water level in some boreholes and sources had decreased.

"Water supply has recently become a problem and we are aware of the situations faced by the consumers," he said.

"The water level has gone down in some boreholes and water sources and that's why consumers will experience low pressure or supply in their homes."
