Golan Heights peacekeepers return home safely

Update: 1:28PM THE first lot of military personnel, who were deployed to Golan Heights last year, were officially welcomed in a parade at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua, Suva this morning.

Republic of Fiji Military Forces commander Brigadier General Mosese Tikoitoga thanked them for completing the 12 months with a lot of courage and perseverance in the war-torn Syria.

He also applauded their sacrifices especially without their families by their side and for returning home safely.

511 soldiers were part of this mornings parade.
