THE Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests organised an excellence awards ceremony in Labasa on Friday to recognise the work of its staff members.

Principal agricultural officer northern John Cox said the event was the first of its kind, aimed at rewarding staff members for their valuable contribution to the ministry.

"This is the first time we have organised such an event and this is solely to reward some of the hardworking members who have immensely contributed to the smooth operation of the ministry," he said.
