Compromised electoral process: FLP and PDP

By SHALVEEN CHAND
Saturday, August 23, 2014

Update: 3:38PM WHILE the Elections Office has deemed the draw of the candidates number free and fair, two political parties have said that the electoral process has been compromised.

Peoples Democratic Party president Lynda Tabuya and Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry made these comments following the draw of the candidates numbers in Suva this morning.

But Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem has remained firm on his decision despite disagreements with the Fijian Electoral Commission regarding the final candidates list.

Mr Saneem said the next step now would be taking the list to the printers and having it advertised in tomorrows newspapers.
