Update: 2:59PM FIJI police are still attempting to contact the families of a driver and passenger who perished in a car crash in Sigatoka yesterday.

The Forces media liaison officer Western, Naina Ragigia, said they were working on reaching the families of the pair, who were in their early 20s and believed to be from Nadera, Suva.

Initial police reports say the driver lost control of the car, which flipped and hit a tree near the Agriculture Research Station along Valley Road.
