500 voters to one polling station

Update: 4:11PM 500:1 is the ratio of people to polling stations.

Elections Supervisor Mohammed Saneem says this is the formula assigned to decide how many voters will be received at one polling station making counting and polling easier.

According to Section 89(1) of the Electoral Decree immediately upon closing of the polls, the count of ballot papers is to be undertaken and completed in the respective polling station by the presiding officer and such elections officials designated by him or her.
