POLICE have identified the man who was found dead in a sugarcane field in Naria, Rakiraki, on Sunday.

West police media liaison officer Naina Ragigia said the deceased was a 44-year-old plumber with the Water Authority of Fiji.

"When we found the body on Sunday, we found injuries on the deceased's face and mouth." She said police were suspecting foul play because of the injuries.
