NFP files 50 nominations to contest elections

Update: 3:05PM THE National Federation Party has also filed nominations for 50 candidates to contest the general election.

NFP general secretary Kamal Iyer said it was generally a multiracial and well represented line-up of candidates for the September 17 polls.

The party has nominated people from different walks of life to contest the elections, with some lawyers, a doctor, trade unionists and former parliamentarians to name a few.
