March marks official opening of Hibiscus Festival

Update: 2:52PM THE Vodafone Fiji Hibiscus Festival started off with the official march through the Capital City and the lighting of the Hibiscus torch today.

More than 3000 people were part of the march which started from the Flea Market right to the centre of the 2014 Hibiscus Festival, Albert Park.

The rain did not dampen peoples spirit as they arrived in numbers to take advantage of what was on offer at the festival ground.

The contestants, schools, NGOs and other groups took part in the march.
