MISS World Fiji Charlene Tafuna'i wants to make Fiji proud when she represents the country to the Miss World International Pageant at London in December.

Ms Tafuna'i said she knew the responsibility before her was huge but with the help of the Miss World Fiji team, she was confident of doing a good job in representing the country.

"It feels really good to be Miss World Fiji," Ms Tafuna'i said.

"I'm excited about this whole new experience and I do hope I make everyone and the people of Fiji proud."

"It's a huge responsibility to represent your country and do a good job, however, I think with the help of the Miss World Fiji team I will be prepared to do both.

"I think I will be a great representative to showcase Fiji to the rest of the world."
