Government downplays rumours

Update: 6:45PM THE Fijian Government says rumours circulating on social media and other mediums stating the Registrar General is no longer allowing the registration of the mataqali, yavusa, koro and tikina of iTaukei Fijians are false.

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says these rumours are false and malicious adding that registration of all that information is always done under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act (Cap49) (Act).
