New winner in bowls

NEW winners will be crowned during the Down Under Mining-sponsored Master Pairs competition at the Vatukoula Blowing Club today.

This is after defending champions Kanda Mudaliar and Permal Satya were bundled out during the pool stages yesterday.

Brothers Eminoni and Kala Turagabeci pairing up for the first time will be the ones to look out for.

The duo have the advantage playing on their home turf.

The other teams that have qualified for the quarter-finals are: Semesa Naiseruvati/Jone Netava, Bobby Prasad/Rajnesh Prasad, Sonny Vakatalai/Jo Lepolo, David Aitcheson/Som Padayachi, Shorab Khan/Jare Josaia, Rick Eyre/Jona Koroitamana, Laqere Netava/Sekaia Neibili.

The competition will continue at 9am.
