CAR enthusiast Intiyaz Aziz has set his mind on improving his time at the Fiji Car Club quarter-mile drag race on Sunday.

More than 40 cars are expected to feature in the Digicel Fiji-sponsored event at the Nanuku Aerodome (Taunovo Airstrip) in Deuba.

Aziz has been racing for the past few season and said he was getting better.

"My aim is to better my timing," he said.

"I did 16 seconds flat the last time so anything around mid-15 seconds would be a great achievement."

He said he had made a few installations on his car, registration K1PH8N, just for drag purposes.

"I have installed the following on my car for drag purpose: 4efte 1.3l turbo engine with CT9 turbo, upgraded waste gate, blow off valve, original front mount intercooler with aluminium piping and silicone joints, HKS fuel cut defender, aftermarket fuel pump, Exedy Racing clutch system, Turbosmart dual stage boost controller, separate toggle for second stage boost, lightened 15-inch racing wheels and all four kusko race series adjustables with hardened springs."

Aziz also expects to impress fellow car enthusiasts with the look of his car.

"Apart from drag specs, the looks is a truely head turner with genuine candy blue paint with DNA clear coat, candy red engine bay, original EP90 front and rear lips with side skirts, upgraded dash with passenger and driver side airbags.

"My future plans for this car is to upgrade the turbo to TD04 or T3T4 along with the gearbox to LSD, would also work on the traction and probably install sleeks during drags and reduce weight."
