Update: 11:55AM FIJI Television Ltd is expected to make a comment on its decision to drop nine channels from its Sky Pacific channel line-up after meeting with the Consumer Council of Fiji.

The television company is expected to meet with the council tomorrow.

The council had called on Sky Pacific management to reverse its decision to introduce 11 new channels in its place.

FOX International Channels executive Alex Maier said their viewers were their first priority and they were disappointed that they had been unsuccessful in their attempts to keep the channels available in Fiji.
