New centre to provide job opportunities

Update: 1:15PM A centre aimed at creating employment opportunities for disadvantaged women - the Ability Shine Production Centre was opened by Social Welfare Minister Dr Jiko Luveni today.

The new centre located at the Fiji National Council for Disabled Persons headquarters, Suva aims at assisting grandmothers and people living with disabilities and equip them with financial strength.

More than 300 sanitary pads have been made and sewn already at the centre and would be sold at $2 per packet at the first ever National Women's Expo which begins on Wednesday.
