Writ of election to be issued today

Update: 10:10AM THE writ for Fiji's elections will be issued today in accordance to Section 59 of the Constitution and Section 19 of the Electoral Decree.

According to a government release, it will happen at midday at the Government Buildings.

Also for people yet to register for the General Elections, they have only until this afternoon to do so, or miss out in having their say in who they want in the government.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed confirmed that today is the last day for people to get registered.
