Special day for children

Shalveen Chand
Monday, August 04, 2014

CHILDREN of St Christopher's Home returned to Nakasi with smiles after a day at TappooCity in Suva yesterday.

The Tappoo family treated the 34 children of the home to fun, games and then to a hearty lunch.

Sister Kalolaine Tuineau, the children's caretaker, said it had been a special day for the young ones.

"More than anything else, children need love and this kind of gesture helps develop their self confidence and realise that they are loved," she said.

"This day is particularly important to one of our children, Anthony, who is celebrating his 12th birthday. So you can imagine his delight."
