Governments eye on digital platform

Update: 5:14PM PRIME Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama last night announced Governments plans in establishing a National Digital Television platform to be managed by the Fiji Broadcasting Commission.

He made the announcement while speaking at the 60th birthday celebrations for the Fiji Broadcasting Commission Limited.

He said the Department of Communications was currently working on finalising the setting up of the platform that feature the transit from analogue to digital television.

The new initiative would also see FBC setting up a new transmission company to manage the platform
