Lautoka records poor turnout

THE Lautoka Hockey Association recorded a poor turnout for its competition at the Nadovu Park yesterday.

Mates and Tokalau were the only clubs to register full squads.

As a result the competition has been shifted to next week.

Association executive Ernest Coffin said they did not expect the players to lose interest after the successful staging of the State of Origin last week.

Coffin said they would be giving cash prizes in next week's competition in a bid to increase participation.
