Maharaj wins snooker league

NAVNEIL Maharaj won the Six Reds snooker league tournament at the Lautoka Club on Friday.

Maharaj defeated veteran Suresh Chauhan 2-1 in the final. In the semi-finals, Maharaj beat Nilesh Chand 2-0 while Chauhan defeated Nitesh Chand 2-1. This was Maharaj's third consecutive victory after winning two events at the South Seas Club last week.

The HFC business finance officer leads the South Seas Club league while Nitesh the former Fiji number three leads the Lautoka Club competition.
