THE Singapore national netball side will play three matches against a Fiji Invitational side from tomorrow until Wednesday.
Team coach Alevina Waqa said some top players had been ruled out while some who did not feature in the world cup qualifiers would play against Singapore.
"The strategy going into this three-match series is to try out all players as we continue to prepare them for the Netball World Cup next year," she said.
"We had discussed with former coach Julie Hoornweg the need to expose the younger players to more international matches such as this."
And she said while the match would not affect the ranking, it would give all the players good outings and experience.
"These are not ranked games but training matches to assist Singapore in their buildup to the Asian World Cup Qualifiers.
"Of course, Singapore is one of the strongest team in Asia and has former Silver Ferns Ruth Aitken as their coach so we hope to take all the lessons we can from these matches."
Taraima Mitchell, Asilika Sevutia, Kini Veilawa, Vilisi Tavui and Alisi Naqiri who were not part of the team to the world cup qualifiers, would be given game time.
Fiji Pearls captain Matila Waqanidrola has been ruled out because of injury while Lusi Robanakadavu has been ruled out because of work commitment.
"So this is an opportune time to try out the other defenders like Tavui and Naqiri."
The Fiji Invitational Team will play Singapore at the FMF Gymnasium and the games are scheduled to start at 5.30pm.
Fiji Invitational: Alisi Naqiri, Sera Dakuitoga, Kini Veilawa, Vilisi Tavui, Debra Delana, Asilika Sevutia, Vaiti Waqatabu, Raijeli Daveua, Teimumu Moce, Nina Cirikisuva, Unaisi Rauluni, Taraima Mitchell, Maria Lutua, Afa Rusivakula.
