Ba rugby showdown

Maciu Malo
Saturday, August 02, 2014

KBL Sorokoba will be defending the Elisha Engineering Shield against challengers Grand Pacific Hotel Ba River Bluez in the Ba rugby club feature game this afternoon.

The reigning champion side is highly tipped to maintain its impressive form after successfully defending the title against Lomavata, Sasa, Vadravadra and Ba River Redz over the past weeks.

Laced with some members of the Ba team, the side is expected to be stretched to the wire by their opponents.

Ba rugby official Salesitino Gukirewa said the game would determine the true champion of Ba rugby.

He said the Bluez had defeated Sorokoba during the round robin games and they would be itching to repeat the feat today.

"The game will be a battle between two of the top teams in Ba," he said.
