Farmers display produce at Agriculture Show

Update: 10:40AM THE 2014 Northern Agriculture Show has started.

Students, civil servants, business community and members of the public were part of the opening ceremony in Subrail Park in Labasa this morning.

display booths showcase furniture, flowers, root crops, fruits, vegetables, bottles of virgin coconut oil and honey, farming machines and food.

In his opening address, Minister for Agriculture Inia Seruiratu encouraged people to make good use of the land to increase local production.

The theme for the show is Sustainable family farming for food nutrition and livelihood security.
