Academic resigns to join FijiFirst

Update: 2:40PM ACADEMIC Dr Mahendra Reddy has resigned today from two public offices following a recent announcement of his participation in the upcoming national election.

Dr Reddy had stepped down as chairman of the Fiji Commerce Commission and director of the RBF board.

"I am contesting for the national election under the FijiFirst Party banner.

"As per the requirements of the Constitution, I will have to resign from any public offices."
