FWCC records rise in rape, violence against women cases

Update: 5:30PM REPORTS of rape, domestic violence, child abuse, and sexual harassment and other forms of violence against women and children have been on the up in the first half of the year compared to last year in all its centres, says Fiji Womens Crisis Centre Coordinator Shamima Ali.

Last year 1058 cases were report while 1084 were for the same period this year.

Ms Ali said although the increase is quite minimal, it must be taken seriously.
