THE Social Democratic Liberal Party says it will review the social welfare allowance scheme and improve delivery if it wins the general election.
The party in its manifesto said it would continue with the recently introduced old age pension scheme, but review operations and delivery.
"Our aim is to increase the monthly allowance," the manifesto read.
The party said it would subsidise selected basic food items for those under the scheme.
It also said that it would "initiate programs to upgrade standards of living for those below the poverty line and reduce significantly the number of people living in poverty," the manifesto revealed.
