Envoy calls for more volunteers

THE British High Commissioner to Fiji, Roderick Drummond, encourages more British volunteers to come to Fiji.

Mr Drummond said if British volunteers were interested and if their visit was organised by a reputable organisation such as Think Pacific, it was possible to have a great Fijian experience.

He made these comments when visiting Leeds Met University volunteers at schools in Rewa.

"I was very impressed at how much the students had achieved in only six weeks."

He said the volunteers brought in new innovations such as the drama and different ways of using visual arts in the classroom.
