TO cater for the increased enrollment at Lautoka's Gandhi Bhawan Primary School, a $130,000 four-classroom block was officially opened last Friday by Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama.

Headteacher Jagdish Prasad said the roll had increased steadily since 2010.

"The school roll in 2010 was 384, 415 in 2011, 442 in 2012, 505 in 2013 and this year it stands at 522 with 47 students in kindergarten," he said.

"This shows the faith that the parents have in the school and the administration of the school as a whole."
