SODELPA to review WAF

Siteri Sauvakacolo
Sunday, July 20, 2014

THE Social Democratic Liberal Party says it will audit and review the operations of the Water Authority of Fiji if it comes into power post-elections.

This was announced as part of the party's manifesto which was launched at the Suva Civic Centre on Friday.

The party revealed that it will ensure that adequate clean water is provided to all communities throughout the islands and sufficient water supply systems to all urban centres and tourism areas.

It also said it would review water catchment areas, treatment plants, storage and reservoirs to ensure adequate network of water supply systems.

SODELPA added that it would also ensure fair compensation to landowners for water catchment areas and other facilities and will provide water tanks and storage in rural areas and outer islands.
