Water supply interruption in greater Labasa areas

Update: 1:09PM THE Water Authority of Fiji has advised its customers that urgent repair works are being carried out on a burst main at Nasealevu, Labasa which will cause temporary interruption in water supply.

Impacted areas are: Bulileka, Vunivau, Basoga, Dreketilailai, Urata, Boubale, Siberia, Batinikama, Wailevu, Solove, Bucalevu, Tabucola, Rara Housing, Tuatua, Covata, Airport Road, Lajonia, and Qaloyaga.

The authority advises its customers residing in these areas to store water  and use it wisely during this temporary disruption in supply.

Supply is expected to normalise by 7pm tonight.

However, water carts will be on stand-by to service the affected areas as and when the need arises.

The authority highly regrets any inconvenience caused to its customers.
