Merelita reigns

MERELITA McCarthy won division one of the Fiji Golf Club Ladies competition monthly medal event on Tuesday.

Competition official Connie Kwon said 25 lady members competed in the Goodman Fielder-sponsored event at the Vatuwaqa golf course in Suva.

"First in division one was Merelita McCarthy, second was Kelera Watling and third was Gye Oh," she said.

"Ofa Tabuanakawai won division two ahead of S L Yeom while Lillian Allen was third. In division three, first was Sunita Mathews, second was E H Lim and third was Yoku."

Meanwhile, Kwon hit a beautiful eagle on the number 9 par 5.
