'Heading for a new challenge'

Shalveen Chand
Saturday, July 19, 2014

THERE were separate set messages for the police force from Commissioner Ben Groenewald at the second quarter parade yesterday morning.

After delivering his address and following the disbanding of the parade, he walked up to those who had paraded and told them they now had a forum to voice their concerns with the reinstatement of the police association.

"In this small environment ladies and gentleman, you made me proud this morning, I think when we visit your station, we will also see this in the execution of your work. We are heading for a new challenge," said Mr Groenewald.

"I will see to the best that we better the environment we work in and live in.

"I do appreciate your professionalism and neatness in uniform."
