Organisations to launch poverty scorecard

Update: 12:40PM THE National Financial Inclusion Taskforce led by the Reserve Bank of Fiji, the South Pacific Business Development Microfinance (Fiji) Limited and Good Return organisation are expected to officially launch the first poverty scorecard in the South Pacific next week.

In a statement today, the central bank says the poverty scorecard, which is also known as the progress out poverty index, will be launched during a workshop on July 21 at Kadavu House in Suva.

The index is a country-specific poverty scoring tool for 45 countries and used by more than 200 organisations involved in poverty alleviation.
