Update: 4:00PM ONE of three remand prisoners who escaped from Nadi Police Station over the weekend has been recaptured.

West police spokeswoman Naina Ragigia said Sailasa Mociu, who's remanded following a murder case in Tailevu last year, was recaptured in Nadi on Tuesday.

She said they were still searching for the other two escapees.

She reminded members of the public that harbouring prisoners was a serious offence.

The other escapees are Deshwar Kishore Dutt, who was known for offences relating to robbery with violence, aggravated robbery, and theft and Binesh Nand Pillay who is alleged to have impersonated a Land Transport Authority officer.
