NEW Zealand-based Leba Korovou was in top form helping her Blue Ferns team to hold the high flying Seniteteva team to a 29-all draw at the Lautoka netball weekly competition over the weekend.
The former Natabua High School student showed her class and experience in the shooting department to deny the Nadi-based side the victory.
Korovou combined well with her young team mates to hold their opposition who boasted some big names like Alisi Naqiri and Alisi Galo.
Meanwhile, KBL Shine On stamped its dominance for winning the round one competition ahead of the Czarina Vodka outfit.
Tailevu won the premier grade while Lomaiviti came second.
Police took out the senior grade title ahead of Fidelity Royal Army Wives while the under 15 grade was won by KBL Shine On.
Tailevu also won the B grade ahead of Vuda Blues.
Lautoka secretary Kini Drasuna said the competition produced outstanding young talents.
"There is abundance of talent in Lautoka, most of the senior teams comprise of players under the age of 21 years," she said.
"This is also the second year that we are running the U15 grade competition.
"Some of the players that have been outstanding over the past weeks were Alisi Naqiri and Alisi Galo of Seniteteva.
"U21 national trialist Ana Bainitabua, Tarusila Saukuru with veteran Wainikiti Nateru were outstanding for the Czarina Vodka team.
