PM to hear explanation

Mere Naleba
Wednesday, July 16, 2014

THE Ministry of Education will have to explain to the Prime Minister Rear Admiral (Ret) Voreqe Bainimarama the plans it has regarding the school zoning and bus fare voucher programs in place.

Rear Admiral (Ret) Bainimarama said he would had to speak to the Education Ministry to see the plans it had and their effectiveness.

This was after villagers of Nakorovou in Rewa informed the Prime Minister, who is also the FijiFirst party leader, during his campaign at Dreketi District School that most students travelled to other schools in towns and cities instead of getting enrolled in their village school, which had led to the low school roll.
