Saturday, July 12, 2014

BLUE Ferns netball team is hoping to secure its first win over the Nadi-based Seniteteva side in the feature match of today's Lautoka netball competition.

The Ferns which has never beaten Seniteteva this year will field a strong line-up in their quest to win the game.

The side lost to the Senieteva in the knockout competition and will be using this game to avenge that loss.

Lautoka netball secretary Kinisalote Drasuna said the match would bring out best from both teams.

She said the Ferns would use this game to secure their first win over Seniteteva.

"The feature match will be a repeat of the knockout finals," said Drasuna.

"Blue Ferns has never won over Seniteteva and it will be interesting to see the rivalry between these two teams."

Seniteteva will be bolstered by the services of their star players Alisi Naqiri and Alisi Galo.

"Alisi Naqiri and Alisi Galo have been outstanding for their team," said Drasuna.

"The game is expected to be tough as all players have a chance to showcase their talents to secure a spot in the Lautoka team for the upcoming IDC meet."
