Archbishop Mataca begins his final journey

Update: 12:25PM THE procession to the tomb has begun and Archbishop Emeritus Petero Mataca will soon be laid to rest.

The tomb is built under the Sacred Heart Cathedral.The tomb's entrance is covered by traditional Fijian masi.

As Archbishop Chong delivered the final rights for the late Archbishop Emeritus, he said: One day we should joyfully meet him again.

The Archbishop Emeritus family conducted a traditional Fijian farewell before his body is laid to rest.
