Snooker battle looms

FORMER Fiji snooker number three Nitesh Chand is eying a win at the third Paradise Beverages National Rankings Championship in Lautoka next weekend.

This is after he showed his class to win the Six Reds Championship at the Lautoka Club on Friday.

Nitesh defeated Navneil Maharaj 2-1 in the final.

Nitesh said the win had set the platform for the main event next week.

"I have missed out on the national title in recent years," he said.

"So I have been practising daily to keep my form and maintain consistency."

Jiten Prasad is the top seed for the national tournament.
