By DAWN GIBSON
Saturday, July 05, 2014

Update: 6:52PM NEXT Thursday marks a special day for many rural women around the country, as Women Minister Dr Jiko Luveni will officially launch and present 22 new stoves to members of the Neelgiri Mothers Club in Saweni.

This is part of the ministrys FJ Rocket Stove Project, which at the moment is working with women in the Central Division.

The project works to encourage less firewood usage in communities, particularly those most vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
