Giant squid research begins

Update: 3:36PM THE first giant squid exploratory fishing research in Fiji began this morning by the Fisheries Department in collaboration with Secretariat of the Pacific Community.

Two giant squids, weighing more than 13kg each, were caught from the Kadavu waters, kick starting the research and what could be the beginning of Fiji's squid market.
