Update: 2:43PM THE High Court in Suva sentenced a 47-year-old man to 11 years in jail for raping his niece twice in 2011.

The man committed the offences separately on his niece who was staying with him and his family to get education as a 10-year-old.

Justice Daniel Goundar, in his ruling, told the man that he was the victim's guardian and an authority figure when he sexually violated her.
