THE 23-member team who went to register potential voters and create awareness on voter education in the Lau Group past month has returned.

The team returned yesterday after registering more than 70 Fijians and conducting massive voter awareness exercise.

A registration officer who preferred anonymity said the response from the people in Lau were positive and they were looking forward to voting in the September 17 General Election.

Election Supervisor Mohammed Saneem earlier stated the team would cover 19 islands and 70 villages before returning on June 28.
