THE yavusa Tunuloa of Vitogo Village in Lautoka yesterday marked 100 years of establishing the clan's lineage.

Records from the June 30, 1914, event have been passed down for generations and were a highlight of celebrations at the village yesterday.

The descendants of Sailasa Sauqaqa, the man who had recorded the meeting in 1914 headed the official celebrations.

Tunuloa member Morawa Sauqaqa said the occasion was a special moment for clan members.

"These records mark the history of our yavusa," he said.
