A SULU jaba competition organised in Suva at the weekend had a record number of participants.

Sponsored by Crest Chicken, the competition on Saturday night drew 76 entrants.

Fiji Fashion Week ticketing manager and event assistant Lite Daunika said this was the biggest number of participants in the history of the competition. Ms Daunika confirmed that the furthest travelling participant was from Lautoka.

"We have had such a tremendous response from the women of Sawani Village, Colo-i-Suva, Tamavua and Kalokolevu who are avid supporters of the competition," Ms Daunika said.
