INTERESTED contestants and sponsors have until this Friday to hand in applications to participate in the Ba Riverside Carnival.

Carnival committee member Dr Maria Doton said they would hold a meeting later in the week to discuss the progress of the preparations for the carnival.

"At the moment, we have about seven princesses and six king contestants together with nine queen contestants," she said.

"Applications will close on Friday.

"We will look to finalise and approve all the final details soon."

According to Dr Doton, preparations for the carnival were also going well after the sponsorship deals with Digicel Fiji and Bank of South Pacific.
