Down memory lane

WITH 135 years under its name, Levuka Public School has surely brought people of different ethnicity together for many years, building a strong bond among students.

Many have left the school while many continue to enter the institute with hopes of having to experience the wonderful memories that former students often express when describing their experience.

LPS former student David Bower said he remembered attending school in 1959 like it was yesterday.

He said during his time in school in the 1950s most of the students and teachers were Europeans and part Europeans.

"It was the time when every child loved going to school at Levuka Public School and enjoyed each other's company," Mr Bower said.
